UNTHA - Mobile shredder

UNTHA is an Austrian company specializing in the manufacture and development of high-end shredding machines. In our case, it is the name of a high-capacity mobile waste shredder. It is a shredder on tracks with a conveyor belt protruding from it, under which you can place, for example, a large-volume container into which the shredded materials fall, and metal parts are separated separately using a strong magnet. The size of the resulting fraction is determined by the size of the screen inserted into the crusher. The principle is that you turn large and bulky items into smaller fractions. We purchased UNTHU with the help of a subsidy and are currently using it mainly to process discarded pallets, from which we produce wood chips for gardens. The machine can also process sheet metal, glass, various types of plastic, furniture, and paper. However, it is not capable of processing forgings or 10 mm thick iron, for example. 

Nevertheless, it can crush sheet metal of a certain width and thickness, which we took advantage of in a recent test of crushing car locks. If you have a lot of material and need to transport it for further processing, which requires logistics costs, crushing can reduce the volume of material to a more acceptable fraction, which a truck can transport more of than the original material. This is the primary purpose of UNTHA. It is also a mobile device. In other words, it can be transported anywhere within the Czech Republic. This means that the material does not always have to be transported to UNTHA, but UNTHA can be transported to the material, which is a more economical option and complies with legislative requirements.
